Thank you for your interest in the Toastmasters International program! The programs offered by Toastmasters International through its member clubs provide wide-ranging opportunities to help members improve their public speaking, listening and leadership skills. Our local club is:

Meetings on Alternate Thursdays
11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m., Room 1330 PEC
The University of Michigan-Dearborn
4901 Evergreen Road, Dearborn, MI 48128
The Toast of Dearborn is a “safe place” where there's mutual respect, encouragement and support for each member, so that each member has the maximum opportunity to achieve his or her goals. Many of our members work or are students at UM-Dearborn, while others work at Ford, AAA, and other local companies. (It's a nice mix of people.) There's no instructor. We use materials provided by Toastmasters International to help each other to improve our communication and leadership skills. New members receive basic communication and leadership manuals to guide us through the first ten speeches and help become acquainted with other meeting roles. Members also receive the Toastmaster magazine each month, which contains a lot of helpful information.
Meetings are designed with a variety of components to help you work on different skills, such as prepared presentations, humor, speaking "off the cuff," giving and receiving evaluations, interviewing skills, etc.
Toastmasters International charges a one-time membership fee of $20 for new members, plus dues of $27 every six months. (Special rates are available for faculty, staff, students and alumni of UM-Dearborn.)
We look forward to meeting you!
